我是一個禮拜前買的書，今天已經看了大約1/2，並不是因為內容很簡單，（其實內容很豐富，也很有深度），而是因為裡面的對話太爆笑了！我以前買過英文諺語的書，都是那種列一堆成語，（很多還是錯的或過時的），卻沒有告訴我使用的時機，因此背一背就忘了，這本書用很 ’逗趣’ 的方式將成語套進去，還有詳細的解說，我覺得這才是真正可以學習到東西的書。可以感覺到作者很用心。還有，買書的讀者一定要聽MP3，千萬不要只啃書，因為光聽MP3裡面活潑的內容就值得了！建議買書的人先不要直接看書，而是先聽MP3，像我昨天就把書的MP3灌到我自己的MP3，坐公車時就聽了好幾篇，回家再翻書 ’印證’一下自己的聽力。大力推薦！

我本來是看聯合報的專欄,覺得很實用,不過昨天去書店翻了一下書,發現很多都加上了台語的諺語,覺得十分有趣,也讓這本書更有意義!黃博士的文筆（中,英文）一向以來都很不錯,常常讓我讀來捧腹大笑,這本書也很不錯,輕鬆易讀,還告訴我正確使用諺語的時機,這樣才不會鬧笑話.
對了,我覺得這本書對高中生寫作文也會很不錯...我高中時也背過很多成語,不過都是囫圇吞棗,不求甚解,這本書可以幫我重溫當年唸書的時光...
